Alexandra Pujols is an interior designer and CGI artist. She creates today new French universes. After two masters in architecture, in Marseille and in Ukraine, she opened her agency and explained to us her passion for interior design. In her hands, the space is dressed in a warm or cold atmosphere, the character of the client and his vision of architecture meet to form a perfect symbiosis.

Why did you create your own agency?

It was a dream for me to become self-employed, It allows me to express myself in projects, to show and develop my own style.

Do you think about the architecture to find the arrangement of the space ?

Yes of course. The furniture choice depend on the space.  We keep the spirit of the building, and we reinterpret it inside. However, this selection is in according to the demand and the mood we want to give to the space. However, in order for the product to perfectly match an angle, a recess, etc., I Can also do the design of the furniture myself.

What is your working method?

First, we do the plans and sketches so that the client validates our creative path. Then, we create 3D renderings with different variations. After a final validation, we make the technical drawing. It is in this last step that the real choice of furniture is done.

What is the difference between working on a space and working on an object? Have you a preference ?

I prefer work withe a space. My passion is to feel and design its atmosphere. In addition, it is a challenge because if the place is habitable, the human and his perception of the space come into account. In addition, the space must run with a function, but also offer is Art vison . For restaurants, hotels, it’s public place, so we can experiment more.

What is interior design to you?

Interior designer And for some projects, we have to use the term of “Decorator”. We are the ones who create the atmosphere of a space. And respond to a request, to the needs of the client. Indeed, our profession has a large place in the life of the peoples, or work is a space or she lives .

Do you need a particular quality to exercise this profession?

You have to listen the peoples to be a good interior designer. The designer must understand the request, identify the customer’s personality. But also defend his ideas.
